Pre-Orders are required to reserve chicks, and are highly recommended if you would like to ensure availability, particularly with the specialty breeds as they are limited. The pre-order deposit is 50% of the chick price, with the balance due at pick up. Pre-orders get priority and will be fulfilled first, in the order that they are received. Any remaining chicks from the hatch will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
We also offer a grow out service for all chicks. Details are below, at the end of the chick list. *Due to high demand, grow outs will not be available until later in the season.*
Bantam Chicks
SERAMAS
Serama roos over Serama hens, colors vary.
Seramas are very small birds, only about a pound when fully grown. They will need a secure covered run, with a coop that’s heated to remain above freezing (a heat plate works well) in the winter.

SILKIES –
Blue, black, and paint Silkie roosters over Blue, Paint, Lavender, and Splash Silkie hens. One hen is a blue frizzle, so chance of a frizzle is possible, but no frazzles.

FLOOFY-BANTAMS –
Cross of Silkies & Seramas. Bantam sized, super cute, and smaller than full Silkies. May have silkied feathers, crests, mullets, puffy cheeks, upright stature, feathery legs, and extra toes. Decent layers, they generally lay a Silkie-Sized egg.

This is our first season offering the Splash/Cemani mix. Our Splash Marans rooster is very friendly and well mannered, and comes from a line bred for long hackle feathers, so we are expecting chicks with a good personality and some fun color combinations.

All chicks are straight-run unless specified otherwise. Chicks are social and don’t do well alone, so there is a 3 chick minimum. Local pickup only, we will meet within reason in the greater Summersville WV area. Discounts or extended travel may be available on large orders, at our discretion.
“Grow Out Service” is available for all chicks & keets 🐣🐥
- Grow out fee is $1/week per chick. Grow-outs are straight run.
- A deposit of the initial chick cost is required, with balance of the grow out fee due at pickup.
- From May-October, most chicks are:
– Off-heat indoors around 3.5 weeks,
– Outdoors with night heat at 4.5 weeks,
– Outdoors off heat at about 5-6 weeks.
– Integrated with other ages of grow-outs around 8 weeks
– Free ranging at 10 weeks- Seramas, Silkies, Floofy Bantams, and turkey poults will require heat for a longer period than full size chicks.
Hatching Eggs
**MARANS & COCOA/COPPER LAYER EGGS ARE CURRENTLY LIMITED. IF UNAVAILABLE, THESE MAY BE SUBSTITUED WITH YOUR CHOICE OF BLUE, GREEN, BRAHMA, OR WORKING GIRLS EGGS**
All hatching eggs are clean but unwashed, collected multiple times daily, properly stored and rotated, and laid within seven days of purchase.

Hatching egg availability varies, please contact us with any inquiries regarding what’s currently in stock.
Our hatch rates have been over 90% with our own eggs using a GQF cabinet incubator. However, we cannot guarantee hatch for others due to: jostling during transportation, improper handling and storage after the eggs are out of our hands, inconsistent temperature and humidity during incubation, and other variables out of our control. For optimal results, please wait 24 hours before incubating to allow hatching eggs to settle from movement incurred during transportation.
